The
Company
Emmbre Perry was born (August 18, 1979) and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before moving to Atlanta , Georgia, he spent the majority of his teenage years working close with his father, who was a contractor But in the late 90’s, with youthful energy, and eagerness to learn more about the entertainment industry, he relocated to the hillsides of Georgia, and was invited to work closely with his older brother, Tyler Perry; an invitation he readily accepted. As the older brother toured the nation, carving out what would prove to be an immovable vast place in the industry for himself, young Emmbre watched the trailblazer closely. He learned all there was to learn about theater and film and began his own creations of himself.
Now ready to take the world by a quiet storm, Emmbre Perry is an exciting, up and coming independent filmmaker, screenwriter, actor, and playwright to watch. He made his producer’s debut in 2006 with the live inspirational stage play production ‘There’s One in Every Family, starring Clifton Powell and Shirley Murdock. The play proved to be a success in theaters from Baltimore to Baton Rouge. Unfortunately the writers and Perry couldn’t come to an agreement after the 2nd show and he ended his producer’s relationship with the production.
Perry went on to continue his career and make his directorial debut with the DVD release (phase 4 films) two feature length plays entitled of God Send Me a Man( Robin Givens, Clifton Powell, Nicci Gilbert, Ash Davito, Curtis Von, Evangeline Gabriel-Young) and Let God Be the Judge (Ann Nesby, Clifton Powell, Curtis Von, ) in 2009. God Send Me a Man went on to debut on BET network in 2011 across the nation. Sales proved to be moving as reports came to Perry from out of the country. It was an international success.
Now more business savvy, Perry went on to re-launch his production company, The Emmbre Perry Company, LLC in 2011. With Perry now Executive Producer, co-Writer, and Director, the company’s first project was No More Games. This project was also Perry’s acting debut as the lead character Myron, an early 30’s playboy who, with an unexpected turn of events, falls for his love interest played by co-star Persia White. With featured actor Tommy Ford who played his old school player type father, the successful DVD release in September of 2012 reached record breaking numbers for orders. No More Games sold out in many stores (Walmart, Redbox) and internet sites the first day of release.
Late 2012, Perry made his long expected debut as a young energetic playwright, presenting the hit stage play “Two is Better Than One” produced, written, and directed by Emmbre Perry. The production is a family oriented comedy with inspirational messages of love, forgiveness, and respect. However, don’t be mistaken. Though he keeps the family values portrayed by his older brother’s productions, this Perry brings his own original flavor and swagger to the stage. The inspirational performances by Emmbre Perry, Mama Dee, Ja’el Roberson, Leslie Black, Maxie McClintock, Curtis McNeil, Cordell “Lucci” Turmon, and Kevin “Lucky” Johnson was seen in theaters across the southern region. Perry plans to pick back up again with a tour of the production in the fall of 2015.
Meanwhile his next projects both produced, written and directed by himself is scheduled to be released in November 2015. The inspirational stage play with a hip hop flavor, Every Family Has Problems, starring himself, Tommy Ford, and Lil Chuckee of Cash Money.
With his eyes now set on securing a regular television time slot, Perry is currently in the planning phase of a sitcom pilot with a newly formed partnership with Tommy Ford.
